The Chehalis Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 charitable organization. Formed in 2003, it has a remarkable record of success at organizing and funding projects for the benefit of Chehalis, the city, community, and educational excellence. The Foundation led the effort to restore and renovate Robert E. Lintott/Alexander Park (VIEW HERE). The Foundation then organized and raised funds for the creation of the Kiddy Spray Pool at Recreation Park (VIEW HERE). Other projects include funds to the Chehalis Community Renaissance Team for trees on Chehalis Avenue and historic building plaques. The Foundation provided funding to the city for, among other things, the updating of the V.R. Lee Community Building and downtown holiday decorations. The Foundation has raised over $180,000 for various projects throughout the community. The Foundation has contributed more than $120,000 to fund cutting edge programs in education excellence in the Chehalis School Districts (VIEW HERE). The Foundation also granted $12,000 to Olympic Elementary School for their ball field improvement project. Local citizens who volunteer their time and effort serve as board members. The Foundation spends no money on staff. All donations are used to benefit Chehalis. Since 2003, the Foundation has raised and contributed more than $850,000 to benefit the community.
